Our purpose-driven model invests in thousands of rural West African families and hundreds of communities. Right now, we’re just a tiny start-up, but our whole business model is geared towards significant impact:
- Increase income for smallholders
- Increase food security
- Promote the growth of a climate change resistant crop
- Decrease the reliance on imported food
We believe in holding ourselves accountable, so we’re going to have our NGO partner SOS Sahel monitor and measure our impact in the communities that grow Yolélé fonio, starting with a pre-operations baseline. If we don’t see improvement in per capita income, employment, and productivity, we’ll know we need to adjust our game. Those are our goals, and we aim to meet them.
We can’t wait to keep you updated periodically as to our progress in quantifiable terms!
